Knowledge Base: Register your customers
There are three different methods you can use in order to register your customers for CustomerHub (note: registration is REQUIRED in order to use CustomerHub):
Method 1: You can automatically register your customers. (recommended for maximum automation and hassle-free management)
Method 2: You can manually register your customers. (useful if you need to register just one person or a large group of people at one time)
Method 3: You can let your customers register themselves. (not recommended)
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you plan to use Method 1 or 2, please follow the instructions below to create a registration action set in Infusionsoft, then proceed to Method 1 or 2 instructions. If you plan to use Method 3, then you can skip this section and go straight to Instructions for Method 3 a the bottom of this page.Set up CustomerHub registration action set in Infusionsoft
- Login to your Infusionsoft application
- Go to Setup and select Action Sets
- Create a new action set called “CustomerHub – auto-reg new user”
- In the new action set click on Add New Action and select Send http post to another server
- Put in one of the following CustomerHub post URLs:
- If you DO want CustomerHub to send an email
notification (click here to see the email)
to the client:

- If you do NOT want
CustomerHub to send and email notification and would rather
have Infusionsoft send the login information

- Save the http post action, then save the action set
Now that you’ve created the registration action set you’re ready to register your customers using one of the two methods below:
Method 1: Auto-registration
- Set up CustomerHub registration action set in Infusionsoft (see instructions above)
- Add the above action set to any list of 'Actions' on Infusionsoft order forms, web forms, order triggers, or shopping cart action sets that you want to initiate the auto-registration
- *Only necessary if you want Infusionsoft to send the registration welcome email: Add the Infusionsoft auto-registration email template to the same list of 'Actions' on Infusionsoft order forms, web forms, order triggers, or shopping cart action sets referred to in step 2 above
Method 2: Manual registration
- Pull your list of customers by doing a people or subscription search
- Select Apply Action Set from the Actions drop-down menu
- Select “CustomerHub – auto-reg new user” from the Add New Action drop-down menu
- Click Process Action and wait until the action has been completed by Infusionsoft (please note that this may take several minutes or more depending on the number of people you’re registering)
- *Only necessary if you want Infusionsoft to send the registration welcome email: Send an email broadcast to the same list using the Infusionsoft auto-registration email template.
Method 3: Let your customers register themselves
- Send the announcement email template out as an email broadcast to any customers that you want to invite to register for CustomerHub.
- *Also recommended: Add the announcement email template as a part of any Infusionsoft order forms, web forms, order triggers, or shopping cart action sets that you want to include in order to automaticallysend out the request for your customers to register themselves for CustomerHub.
