Knowledge Base: Set up Infusionsoft order triggers
In order to automate your collections & accounts receivable processes you'll need to setup Infusionsoft order triggers. The end result is that an email notification will be sent out to your customers anytime an autocharge payment fails or credit card is expiring directing them to login to your CustomerHub to take the appropriate action (update credit card, make payment, etc).
Please refer to the instructions below to set up triggers for auto-charge failures and credit card expiration notifications:
Set up autocharge triggers
- Login to Infusionsoft
- Go to Setup and select Misc Settings
- Go to Order Settings and click on Triggers tab
- On Choose Trigger Type drop down select When an autocharge attempt is made
- Specify which failure attempts you want this trigger to apply to
- Add the following actions to the trigger: Run another Action Set (CustomerHub auto-registration action set), Send an email (select a template that includes the CustomerHub login merge fields)
- Save
Set up credit card triggers
- Go to Setup and select Misc Settings
- Go to Order Settings and click on Triggers tab
- On Choose Trigger Type drop down select When a credit card is going to expire
- Specify which the number of days before expiration
- Add the following actions to the trigger: Run another Action Set (CustomerHub auto-registration action set), Send an email (select a template that includes the CustomerHub login merge fields)
- Save
