Serial number (key)

Hi I am wondering since I will be selling software if it is possible for CustomerHub to display
serial numbers that are assigned to the person which is logged in to customerhub.

This would reduce the number of emails I get for support. Will this work in coming release/update
of CustomerHub?

    It depends. How are the serial numbers tied to the contact record within Infusionsoft?

    The serial numbers will be assigned when sold as a digital product.
    It would also be cool if could fetch other info from custom fields
    since I have sold an older version outside Infusionsoft and I thought that
    customers through a web form could enter their old serial number etc.

    What those two combinations work?

    Merge data will be in our February release.

    We do have scheduled right now to have some sort of filebox/digital downloads feature that is tentatively scheduled for March. Stay tuned...

    Ok so user could only access this if they themselves enter the serial numbers into a custom field and then it would display or will it be able to fetch from both assigned keys and custom fields?

    Unfortunately, merge data would only allow you to display and use data from their contact record within Infusionsoft.

    As far as I'm aware, Infusionsoft does not allow access to the digital products through the API. We do have on our list of features; Filebox and Digital Products which would solve your issue. Unfortunately, we don't have a release date for this yet.

    Ok, what I could do is to simply have the users enter in their details in webforms and then merge the info from custom fields?

    When was the scheduled release for the merge fields planned?

    Yes, but custom fields won't be out until later this week.
