"incremental / dripped / time-release" content

Maybe I couldn't find this in the FAQ/KB because of semantics... I know this is referred to be different names. But how do I create content that is automatically released bast on pre-set time intervals?

For example:

Customer signs up on the 5th of the month - they have immediate access to the initial content, but in 7 days (the 12th), I want them to have access to "week 2" content... then, 7 days from that (the 19th), they have access to "week 3" content

Next customer signs up on the 8th of the month and their content is available to them on the 15th (week 2) and the 22nd (week 3)

I want to have the weekly made available to each client based on when they signed up for the service.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the great question!

What most people do is use Infusionsoft campaigns to add tags/subscriptions which you can set permissions to tabs with. For example, you can create a campaign with steps on the timing that you are wanting to use (week 1, week 2, etc..). Those steps can then add specific tags to the contact record. You create tabs with the permissions of those tabs, and only those tabs will show up when the contact has the specific tags on their contact record in Infusionsoft.

Let me know if that makes sense.

    Nathan,

This sounds a little confusing, I even passed this information over to Bobby (application specialist) at Infusionsoft and he didn't know what this meant.

But based on what you're saying about the tabs...what if my program is a 24 week program...would my users have 24 tabs?

Once they got to week 24, I would need them to have access to all 24 weeks, but I wouldn't really want to have a "junky" content areat with 24 tabs across the top.

Are you familiar with the incremental content plugin from amember? This does it perfectly.

Sorry for the confusion... It can get that way when dealing with timing, emails, tabs, etc.. haha. I will try to explain a little more below. Here is what I would do.. and let me know if this scenario would work for you :)

    1. First I would setup 24 tags in Infusionsoft (named week1, week2... week24)
    2. Then I would setup 24 new tabs. One for each Infusionsoft tag. Create them as Hidden for visibility, and Membership for that specific tag in Infusionsoft. So I would create a Week1 tab in CustomerHub and the Membership permissions would be the Week1 tag, and with a HIdden visibility! The visibility will avoid you have 24 tabs along the top.. which could be pretty overwhelming for your users.
    3. On the Right Side textarea of each tab I would have a list of links for week1 through week24.. linking to each tab. The links will look similar to the following: https://yoursubdomain.customerhub.net/tabs/12-week-1. To get the link preview the tab. Get the url in your browser and remove the /admin/ from the url. With hidden tabs you are still able to link to them, but hidden means they won't be tabs along the top. If the user tries to click on the Week5 tab without having the Week5 tag on their contact record in Infusionsoft, it will give them an error message saying they don't have permission to view that tab.
    4. Then in Infusionsoft you'll create a Week24 campaign. You'll create a step in the campaign for each week. Week1 through week24. The steps will add the appropriate tag to the contact. So for the week1 step it will add the week1 tag, which then gives permission to the user in CustomerHub to view the week1 tab.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

    nope...

Was supposed to get some help form Bobby S. at infusionsoft...

I didn't send him the last reply you sent me, I'll make sure to do
    that today.

Though seemingly complex, what you told me just may work for what I'm
doing. I think it's a neat workaround by putting links to the older
lessons in a sidebar of the current lesson's tab.

Just need to get this working in infusionsoft :-)

Thanks a ton for following up though... I really do appreciate that.

Wow, I finally got this. It all makes sense to me.

    Hey Nathan,
Why not create an ebok with some great tips and tricks on how to use the CustomerHub I would appreciate that.

Would be awesome to give to new customers... like:
    "10 things to unleash CustomerHub".

    Thanks!

    Awesome!

We know we're not doing the best with educating our customers, and we're working to improve that. Hopefully you'll see some new resources rolled out over the next couple weeks which can help spur new ideas!
